Wow! What a truly emotional and inspiring story. Kirsty really blew me away with this one. Breeze and Harper are two of my favorite characters ever. They are not only best friends, but also soul mates in every sense of the word. These two are truly meant to be and it shows in every scene throughout this book. Even when they are not together you can still sense their deep connection and unbreakable bond. This book takes you on Bree's journey to let light back into her life after struggling through the darkness of 8 months of cancer treatments. After falling into a deep depression, Bree can't see the light in her life anymore, so her best friend Harper decides to take it upon himself to cheer her up with the road trip of a lifetime and lots of love along the way.

I absolutely loved living in Bree and Harper's world of gorgeous coastlines and beaches, romantic restaurants, open mic nights, camping, playing games and hanging out. Harper is the quintessential chiseled aussie pro surfer with a heart of gold who would do anything for his girl and Bree is the life force behind him giving him the drive to be something great. Their story and their love is so inspiring. I would recommend this book to everyone! Go enjoy their journey, although it is not without heartbreak, you will come out smiling and filled with hope on the other side. Don't miss out on Breeze of Life! I'm giving it 4.5 bookslaps!

A wonderful, touching story. Breeze has Hodgkins Lymphoma, her best friend since childhood, Harper, a professional surfer, are in love and together are fighting to live their lives with a positive attitude, trying to make each day an adventure, a cherished memory. Not all days are easy and they endure many hardships. Breeze struggles with her fear of dying and depression until Harper comes home and finds Breeze much in decline, thin and listless and knows he is needed to help Bree get hold of her life, to try to get her thinking about the life she is living still and not consumed with thoughts of death and dying. Harper gives up his traveling with his surfing club and decides to spend his time caring for Breeze. The story made me feel so many ways for so many different reasons. I laughed and I cried. It was sometimes fun and tickled me silly. Scenes in the tattoo parlor were hilarious. Some scenes made me angry, some were sentimental, The final chapter was so beautifully written, it caused a lump to form in my throat that is still there as I wipe away the tears rolling down my cheeks. it is definitely an adult read, erotic scenes but very realistic and true to life, handled nicely. I enjoyed the amusing characters,realistic and likable. Bree's adoptive father George, endearing and giving. A dying teenager, Mia, she befriends and finds her a great comfort as she is remarkably mature for her age and seems to know what to say to help revive Bree's spirit. I enjoyed Kirsty Dallas's writing. She gets into her characters and makes the reader really feel them and know her characters. By the time the novel is finished, it feels like you've made several new friends you care about and find yourself laughing and crying with. It is an exceptional read. I highly recommend it.

I read this novel a few years ago...and loved it...(back before I took reviewing seriously)...so I decided to read it again and give it a proper review...and I loved it just as much the second time ...
Bree has been through a massive change and struggles lately in her life and sadly she has kept a huge secret ...Harper returning home brings it all out in the open ....

~~My soul was no longer treading deep waters, it was drowning in it.~~

These two characters are the best of friends and have been for a very long time ....I love circumstances where the characters have known each other a long time ...it established a history and things feel less rushed ...this writers style is lovely she really engages the reader ...this story is about LIVING ...living to the fullest ...regardless of what may or may not happen ..you really can't live for "what-if's"....

Her best friend and roommate Harper Somerville, pro surfer has been touring the circuit and hasn’t been home for eight months.
This story will captivate you, while at the same time not wanting to know what’s next. But it will take your heart and make you laugh, cry, feel, hope, be blessed, love, relieved and most of all care.
You all will fall in love with Harper, but I found as much as I loved Harper I was right there with Breeze. I felt everything she felt and feel so blessed to have been a part of her journey.
